This disk has been created with no attempts to prevent copying of the material. If you want to copy all or parts of it you take complete responsibility for any legal consequences that may result.

Harley Tuck Sr has given permission for educators to use and copy any portions of the text version of his WWII Diary as school curriculum for educational purposes. Copying that material strictly for private use is also permitted but in either case, no charge of any kind may be made for it beyond cost of materials. All other rights to the Diary material are reserved by HT Sr, copyright 1986 - 2007. Email HT Jr at htuckjr@zoho.com if you have any questions.

As noted in the Shot Down/ Kriegie Memories Introduction, that material may be under current copyright. Act accordingly.

Now. Copying material from this disk works the same under any computer system that supports copy/ paste functionality, including both Microsoft and X. To duplicate the entire disk to another disk, choose the method used with your disk burner for copying a 'data disk'.

To copy an individual picture, right click on it and select the menu item equivalent to "Save image as..." and put it where you want it.

If you want to considerably speed up the display of the material on this disk, you can copy it to your hard drive. The contents of the disk occupy only a few hundred mb and it's MUCH faster than reading it off the disk. Create a suitably named folder on your hard drive, for e.g., in your My Documents folder, and copy everything on this disk to it.

To view the disk just double click the file WWII-S17b_Index.htm. Or you might make a desktop shortcut to WWII-S17b_Index. Then you can view the diary 'site' just by clicking on the desktop icon.

That's all there is to it!
